Board of Directors:
Serving on the Board of Directors entails attending monthly Board of Directors meetings; members of the BOD must also serve on at least one Sarpy Habitat Committee. The BOD meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue. Sarpy Habitat committees meet at different times of the month, some committees meet monthly, some meet as needed.

Volunteer Site Host:

Welcome construction volunteers to the site and help them sign in. Needed Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to about 10 a.m. To sign-up as a Site Host call 292-6560 or email our office.

Saturday Lunch Coordinator:
The Saturday Lunch Coordinator schedules people to serve lunches on Saturdays to the construction volunteers. For more information, call 292-6560 or email.

Provide Lunch for Saturday Workers:
Sign-up to provide our volunteers with lunch or a snack on our Saturday workdays. For more information contact volunteer Lorraine Williams at 291-0853 or via email.


Church Relations Committee:

This committee is responsible for maintaining relations with the churches in Sarpy County. Committee members give churches information about Habitat and inform the churches about the Christian nature and goals of Sarpy Habitat. For more information, call 292-6560 or send us an email.

Family Support Committee:
This committee is responsible for providing Habitat homeowners and prospective homeowners with a mutual support system, educational opportunities, and a forum for discussions pertaining to home ownership and maintenance. Periodically they hold workshops on budgeting, mortgages, home maintenance, and yard care. Each Habitat family is assigned a support person who is available to answer questions the family might have.

Office Volunteers Needed:

Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County needs office volunteers to work at our Habitat office. Office volunteers select a day of the week and shift which they can work each week. Duties include answering the telephone, and other basic office tasks.

rant Writers:
Since we are a nonprofit, we depend on grant writers to help get funds to help pay for the cost of house construction. We are in need of grant writers. Please contact the Habitat office if you are interested or want more information.

Site Selection Committee:

This committee keeps an eye out for land that becomes available that Habitat might want to purchase to build on.

Family Selection Committee:

Runs the selection process for deciding the most deserving applicants to be future Habitat homeowners. For more information, call 292-6560 or send us an email.

Rehab Committee:
Organizes and directs health and safety-related house repairs for seniors in Sarpy County. Projects range from fixing screen doors to kitchen and bath repairs. The repairs will generally take more than one or two weekends. Volunteers may work with license plumbers and/or electricians but the volunteers will not make electrical or plumbing repairs other than fixture replacements. Repairs will be made by volunteer groups solicited to work on specific projects. For more information, call 292-6560 or send us an email.

Celebrations Committee:
Is responsible to plan Groundbreakings, Dedications, parade participation, National Day of Prayer and the annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Our celebrations are with the Habitat Homeowner families, not for them. Won't you join us? We welcome your participation!
