Habitat to hear Katrina survivors
A family whose home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina will be among the speakers at
the annual Bellevue Community Prayer Breakfast.
This year's breakfast will be at 8 a.m. May 6 at Thanksgiving Lutheran
Church, 36th Street and Nebraska Highway 370.
The buffet-style breakfast, sponsored by the church's Cross Trek Men's
Ministry and the Kiwanis Club of Bellevue, is a fundraiser for Habitat
for Humanity of Sarpy County.
Several Habitat families will share their stories.
Tickets are $15 apiece and can be purchased by calling Habitat at
292-6560 or going to its office at 119 W. Mission Ave. on weekdays
between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
