On December 11, 2011 we had a Groundbreaking Ceremony at 2531 Van
Buren St. for Mark White & family. This is our 31st home for Habitat for
Humanity of Sarpy County. |

On 11 December 2011 we had a Dedication at 7409 S. 18th St., Bellevue,
for Nyanchar Keka & family. This is the 30th home completed by
Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County. |

Golf Fundraiser:
June 9th we had a great turnout for our first Golf Fundraiser. We had
sponsors from Northrop Grumman, Thanksgiving Lutheran Church, Bellevue
University, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Ernst International, DJ's
Dugout, Zig Drywall, SAC Federal Credit Union, APrenda Co., Heritage
Ridge, NECO (Nebraska Engineering Co.), The Burlington Capital Group,
Yeck's Auto Repair, Erwin's Jewelry, OT&E (Omaha Title & Escrow) & an
Anonymous Donor. We thank all the sponsors for this event.

Fletcher family at 2501 Jackson St. This is the 29th home completed by
Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County.

A Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was held Sunday, Feb 27th, at Pilgrim
Lutheran
Church in Bellevue. This is our opportunity to recognize and
thank the volunteers
who donated their time and talents to Sarpy
Habitat in 2010. |

UPS
Volunteer Day:
On 13 October 2010 we had seventeen volunteers from UPS
that sheeted the entire outside of the house & installed all the roof
trusses. We thank them so very much. |

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner:
A Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was held Sunday, July 18th, at St James
Methodist Church in Bellevue. This is our opportunity to recognize and
thank the volunteers who donated their time and talents to Sarpy
Habitat in 2009. |

5K
Run/Walk Event:
On 30 May 2010 we had a 5k run/walk event to support Habitat for
Humanity of Sarpy County which we received $1500.00 from Southridge
Church for this event. After a complete tally of dollars we ended up
receiving a total of $2500.00. |

Dedication Ceremony:
On 10 January 2010 we had a dedication ceremony for the
Mondi family at 1826 Margo St. This is the 26th home completed by
Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County. |

Build Ceremony:
On 27 September 2009 we had a build ceremony for the
Mondi
family at 2826 Margo St.. The Mondi's are our newest homeowners of our
26th home
currently under construction by Habitat for
Humanity of Sarpy County. |

Dedication Ceremony:
On 13 September 2009 we had a dedication ceremony for the
Alier family at 2504 Rose Lane. This is the 25th home completed by
Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County. |

Arrow
to Aerospace Day Parade:
On 22
August 2009 saw Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County once again
participating in Bellevue’s Arrow to Aerospace parade. We had a great
turnout, 44 habitat supporters walked in the parade.
Thank you to Shellie McGlade Kent and John Taylor for helping with the
play-house float, Gene Cash for pulling it in the parade and to Erlene
Chloupek for helping with fliers and candy. |

House Dedication Ceremony:
On 3 May 2009 we had a dedication ceremony for the Comes
family at 2504 Rose Lane. This is house #24 for Habitat for
Humanity of Sarpy County. Even though we have been listing this home as
#25 it is the 24th home that has been dedicated. |

Tea
& Purses 2009:
Our Tea and “Purses” fund raiser was held
at ‘A View’ at Fontenelle Hills, 1102 Country Club Ct., Bellevue,
Mar 21. Our very own John Taylor helped with the modeling at this event. |

On 14 December 2008 we had a dedication ceremony for
Bryan and Casie Lanning at 2506 Rose Lane. This is house #23 for Habitat for
Humanity of Sarpy County. |

New Habitat Families:
Our Family Support Committee members have a get acquainted picnic, Sept
14, 2008 at Washington Park for our newest Habitat families to meet each
other, our committee members, and the Board members. |

On 7 September 2008 we had a dedication ceremony for the
Moreno family at 2508 Rose Lane. This is house #22 for Habitat for
Humanity of Sarpy County. |

Groundbreaking Ceremony:
On 23 May 2008 we
had a groundbreaking ceremony at 2502 Rose Lane Road for the
Union Labor House.
Union laborers have joined
together to donate their time, talents, and materials to building a
Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County home. |

House Dedication Ceremony:
On 16 December 2007 we had a dedication ceremony for the
Monjarez family at 2518 Rose Lane. This is house #21 for Habitat for
Humanity of Sarpy County. |

Groundbreaking Ceremony:
On 16 December 2007 we had a groundbreaking ceremony for two future
Habitat homes! The groundbreaking took place just west of 25th and Rose Lane. This is two
more out of the nine lots designated for
future homes at this location.

Tea
& Purses
Our annual Tea and Purses Fund Raiser was held 9 December at First
Pres-byterian Church in Bellevue. Prizes such as gift certificates to
hotels, restaurants, and local theatres were all donated. We thanks
those for their support. |

On 27 August 2006 we had a groundbreaking ceremony for two future
Habitat homes! The groundbreaking took place just west of 25th Street

to Aerospace Day Parade:
On 26
August 2006 saw Habitat for Humanity of Sarpy County once again
participating in the Bellevue’s Arrow to Aerospace parade.

New
Habitat Homeowner:
After spending time helping the Hurricane victims in Pearlington
Mississippi, Patti Liekhus returned back home to Bellevue to become our
latest Habitat for Humanity homeowner. Here she is signing the final
documentation on her house at 2506 Monroe St. in South Omaha.
